Teaching Kids to Write Prayers for Others + FREE PRINTABLE

This month, we are praying for our kids to love the church. We want to them to get involved with serving and we want them to practice being the hands and feet of Jesus for others. One powerful way our kids can do this is by praying for others.

Kids can practice praying for others by praying for siblings and parents at home. They can pray for friends or grandparents in person or over the phone. They can pray for neighbors in the front yard! Another way kids can encourage and love others through prayer is by writing out their prayers for others.

Recently, my mom had surgery and my kids wanted to send her handwritten prayers in the mail, so we made this cute little My Prayer for you Printout! Print it out and have your kids write out a prayer for someone who needs prayer or someone God puts on their heart. Send it in the mail and you are guaranteed to make someone’s day. These also make great keepsakes when kids write out prayers for each other or for mom or dad! Write out prayers for friends and family members on their birthdays, when new babies are born, when someone accepts Jesus, etc.

If you have kids who are not yet able to write, you can dictate the prayer for them and let them draw a picture. 4 year old prayers are hilarious!
